POSITION: TRUCK DRIVER

Location: Dar es Salaam – Kariakoo

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Safely operate and drive company trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to designated locations.
2. Transport products, materials, and other company goods safely and on time.
3. Conduct daily inspections of the assigned truck before and after trips.
4. Assist with loading and offloading products and materials when required.
5. Follow approved travel routes and adjust routes when necessary to avoid traffic congestion, road construction, or other delays.
6. Ensure the safe handling and security of products and materials during transportation.
7. Keep accurate records of trips, vehicle movements, deliveries, and fuel usage.
8. Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
9. Perform other driving-related duties as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Valid Driving License Class E and Class D is mandatory.
2. Minimum of 1 years of proven working experience as a truck/heavy-duty vehicle driver.
3. Must have practical experience driving large vehicles such as trucks, Scania, MAN, HOWO, heavy-duty vehicles, trailers, or other similar vehicles.
4. Experience in long-distance or commercial transportation will be an added advantage.
5. Good knowledge of road safety rules and traffic regulations.
6. Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify common mechanical problems.
7. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in different locations and with different people.
9. Ability to work under pressure and comply with the nature of the project’s work.
10. Must be responsible, disciplined, reliable, and safety-conscious.
11. Must have good physical condition and be able to perform driving-related duties effectively.
12. High level of integrity and commitment to company property and responsibilities.
